Improving Communication

One of the goals outlined by ALJC General Superintendent Kenneth Carpenter at General Ministry Conference in June was to improve the communication within the organization at every level. This includes communication within our districts, among our churches, and within our departments. This goal was presented in the form of several “challenges” to the district leadership and church leadership:

Challenge: Read the FREE eBook, “Developing Your Leadership Pipeline,” by Todd Adkins. (Available here.)

Challenge: Initiate a prayer network within the district. Bishop St.Clair has answered this challenge and launched “Prayer Force of One” at IN District Family Camp.

Challenge: Embrace the Zoom.us web conferencing app/tool to improve face-to-face communication throughout the fellowship. Zoom is a free-to-use app for conducting large-scale video conferences with up to 50 connected members. More instruction will follow on this tool, but in the interim, you’re encouraged to download the app (available on the iOS AppStore and the Google Play store) and sign up for your free account.

Challenge: Participate in ongoing, organization-wide web conferences. View the events calendar to find the dates for the remainder of 2016.

The Indiana District is growing and making a global impact because we have made a communication a consistent focus. Please help us continue our forward momentum by participating in these “challenges” and let’s see what God will do!
